A Smith-Cotton High School senior was recognized at the state capitol this week.

State Representative Brad Pollitt says, “It was a pleasure to host Arden Schupp and her wonderful family at the State Capitol. Arden was presented with a House Resolution, recognizing her as one of the 2022 Women Legislators of Missouri Scholarship Award winners.”

Schupp also is the recipient of the Bright Flight Missouri Scholarship. This merit-based scholarship is awarded to students who are in the top three percent of his or her statewide high school class as determined by normalized tests. She plans to continue her education at Mizzou, where she will be majoring in Psychology.

Pollitt adds about Schupp, “You have a very bright future ahead of you. Congratulations!”
