Felony charges have been filed against two Virginia residents after a traffic stop on I-70 in Lafayette County on April 6.

According to a report from a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper, he says he located 86 pounds of marijuana, 11 pounds of THC edibles, six pounds of THC wax, 172 THC-infused vape cartridges, 2.2 pounds of psylocybin mushroom chocolates and 50 Xanax and 50 Adderall pills.

Arrested were Renard Gayles, who is now 35 years old, and 39-year-old Justin Aundre Dillard.

Each suspect is charged with one count of a felony for trafficking drugs or attempt in the first degree and three counts of a felony for delivery of a controlled substance. Each subject posted $25,000 surety bond on April 12.

Each defendant was arraigned and pleaded not guilty on Wednesday, April 27.

Each subject is due for another hearing at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
