A suspect is in custody in Pettis County.

According to Pettis County Prosecutor Phillip Sawyer, on Monday, May 9, 24-year-old Dustin C. Arnold was involved in a disturbance at Goodwill Chapel Trailer Park southeast of Sedalia.

Sawyer says Arnold allegedly shot a subject in the abdomen and fled the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement. The victim is alive. Arnold was to be considered armed and dangerous.

After alerting the public about the incident and releasing identifying information about Arnold and a vehicle he was likely to be in, tips poured in and authorities apprehended Arnold Tuesday, May 10.

Formal charges are pending.
