Fires are being set in the area.

According to Lexington Fire and Rescue, four to five houses were set on fire in the Polo/Mirable area on Tuesday, May 10. Authorities think a black Dodge Caliber was involved in those fires.

An elderly woman was a victim in one of the house fires and passed away.

Lexington Fire and Rescue is reporting it was working an arson fire on Highway 224 west of Lexington earlier today. It was reported that the vehicle leaving the scene matched the vehicle involved in the multiple arson fires in the Polo area on Tuesday.

Authorities are urging residents to report any suspicious activity to police.
