A Glasgow man has been charged with a felony for allegedly giving a teenage girl who reportedly suffers from a neurodevelopmental disorder a hickey.
According to a Glasgow Police report, a woman contacted the department on May 3 in reference to a 14-year-old female having hickeys on her right upper arm. The girl advised the woman that 60-year-old Gene Eddy was responsible.
The girl told authorities that Eddy invited her into his residence, pushed her onto the couch and proceeded to try to give her a hickey on her neck. The girl said she pushed Eddy back and dropped her head. At that time, she said Eddy told her “Remember, I have things on you.” Then the girl said she just let him do it.
Authorities viewed a video of the girl during an interview at Rainbow House in Columbia and explained the same events that took place. That interview took place on May 13.
Authorities say they were advised the girl has Autism, along with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Court documents say Harold Eugene Eddy is charged with a felony for assault in the third degree- special victim. Bond is fixed at $20,000 cash only.
A motion for bond reduction was made on May 20.
A bond reduction hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, Cooper County Circuit Court.
