Multiple felony charges have been filed against an Otterville man after authorities conducted an online investigation.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says by tracking an IP address, child pornography files (photos and videos) were shared by a computer in a home in the 5800 block on Highway 135.

Authorities say Mathew Szymanowski admitted to using his laptop and cell phone to seek out, view, download and store images of child pornography. Authorities say his laptop and cell phone contained more than 500 files which appeared to be child pornography.

Court documents say Syzmanowski is charged with two felony counts of promoting child pornography in the first degree; and three felony counts of possession of child pornography- second or subsequent offense, more than 20 pictures or one film or video tape. Bond is set at $50,000 cash or surety.

Szymanowski’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
