A Camdenton man has been charged with a drug-related felony after authorities were dispatched to the report of a driver passed out at the steering wheel of a vehicle on May 31.
According to a Pettis County deputy’s report, the deputy observed Caleb Scott slumped over the center console of the vehicle asleep with a lit cigarette in one hand. The deputy says the vehicle’s engine was running, the gear shift was in drive, with Scott’s foot on the brake.
The deputy says he located a bag of pills consistent with fentanyl, some marijuana, digital scales, syringes and drug paraphernalia.
Court documents say Scott is charged with a felony for trafficking drugs in the second degree and a driving-related misdemeanor. The court has ordered no bond.
Scott was arraigned on June 1. His counsel-status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
