On May 24, 2022, Saline County Career Center (SCCC) Educators Rising made a presentation to the Kiwanis Club.

Members Lily Wade and Libby Gotmer shared information about their participation in Educators Rising for the past two years, and how their involvement will allow them to go to Washington D.C. June 24-27, 2022 to compete at the Educators Rising National Conference and Competition.

Kiwanis members donated $350 to the SCCC Educators Rising for the trip.

Educators Rising is a national organization and a community-based movement in which students can explore career opportunities in education and showcase the skills they have gained in their education and training programs. The SCCC chapter is open to students in grades 9-12 at Marshall, Malta Bend, Slater, and Sweet Springs High Schools.
