The Missouri State Fair begins on Thursday, August 11, at the state fairgrounds in Sedalia. However, Equine Shows begin this week.
According to a press release, the 4-H and FFA Horse Show will take place Thursday, July 28, through Sunday, July 31 in the Donnelly Arena and Coliseum at the Mathewson Exhibition Center.

Other events scheduled include: the World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdales will be on display east of the Mathewson Exhibition Center. They will be in the Opening Day Parade, which starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, and will parade the grounds starting at 5:30 p.m. August 12-14. August 18-20, they will open the Draft Horse Shows in the Mathewson Exhibition Center and then parade the grounds. Their final parade will take place at 2 p.m. on the Fair’s final day, Sunday, August 21.
