The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved several street closure requests during its meeting on Monday, November 7.

City Administrator Jeanette Dobson said the requests were for several upcoming Christmas events. The first request was to close Main Street from 15th to 22nd for the annual Christmas Parade from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 29.

The board also approved a request to close 20th Street to the railroad crossing for the KC Southern Holiday Express on Sunday, December 11. The street will be closed at 3 p.m. until the train departs.
