A Marshall man charged with a felony for stealing has been sentenced in Saline County.

According to a probable cause statement, a victim from Slater informed a Saline County Sheriff Deputy that a game camera had been stolen from property..

A second victim stated that he had placed the camera on the property because of trespassers.

According to victim one, the camera showed the image of a male subject and a pickup truck on the property on August 29. The image was transmitted to his cellular device. He then proceeded to provide the images of the truck and person to the deputy. In the image, the deputy observed Robert Flippin whom he recognized from prior law enforcement contacts.

When contacted, the owner of the property stated that he did not know Flippin and had not given permission for him to be present on the property.

Flippin had an active warrant in Saline County for a previous offense.

According to court documents, On November 30, 2022, Flippin was sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, with the execution of sentence suspended and Flippin placed on probation for five years.
