The City of Sedalia is scheduled to close several streets and alleys for the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, which is scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, December 3.

The parade route starts at 7th Street and S. Ohio Avenue and proceeds north on Ohio Avenue to Main Street before turning east on Main Street to travel and disband around S. Massachusetts Avenue. Blue pedestrian barriers will protect the parade route this year.

In order for the City crews to start placing multiple safety barriers, please note the following timeline:
2 p.m.: No vehicles are allowed to park along South Ohio Avenue from 7th Street to Main Street. Cross streets (excluding 3rd Street and Main Street) and alleys along the parade route will be blocked.
3 p.m.: Traffic will be limited to southbound only along South Lamine Avenue from East 5th Street to East 7th Street and S. Massachusetts Avenue from East 3rd Street to East 7th Street as parade entries start lining up in this area.
4 p.m.: West 5th Street between South Ohio Avenue and South Lamine will close for food trucks.
5:45 p.m.: No traffic will be allowed to turn east on Main Street from the Main and South Ohio Avenue intersection.

Once the lead of the parade approaches 3rd Street, the intersection of 3rd and Ohio will be closed to traffic except for emergency vehicle response.
