The Saline County Career Center (SCCC) DECA chapter received a $2,500 donation from the Malta Bend Memorial American Legion Post 558 on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

The donation helps support and sustain the chapter funding this year. SCCC DECA works with local business, initiatives and charities to develop marketing, publicity plans or help with general community giving or awareness activities. Some local activities the chapter is working this year include a Cereal Box Run that will help raise enough cereal to be placed in food pantries throughout the county. DECA members are also working on an independent business plan for GMae’s Baking and Milling, an innovation plan for a Cat Cafe, a business solutions plan for Fairy Prom Mothers and integrated marketing plans supporting events or a service.

SCCC DECA provides a sponsorship level, which includes advertising opportunities through DECA for each business that donates to the chapter.
