The Carrollton Town Council approved ordinances for a change in zoning of a tract of land for commercial use and a construction agreement for an animal shelter during its meeting on Monday, March 6, 2023.

The zoning ordinance changes a tract of land in Carrollton from agriculture use to commercial at 107 East Ridge Drive.

The council also approved an ordinance to enter into a construction agreement to build an animal shelter at Walnut Hills.

The money for the shelter was provided by a gift to the city.
