
Pablo Lopez pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings, leading the Minnesota Twins to a 2-0 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
Lopez out dueled Royals’ starter Zack Greinke, who gave up 2 runs over 5 1/3 innings with 4 strikeouts. Lopez struck out 8 and walked three.
The Twins got both of their runs in the sixth off RBI singles from Trevor Larnach and Donovan Solano. Kansas City had two hits the entire afternoon- a single from Salvador Perez and a double by Kyle Isbel.
The Royals went 0-6 with runners in scoring position.
