The St. Louis Cardinals mustered just enough offense to beat the Cleveland Guardians 2-1 in ten innings.

St. Louis scored in the second inning with a solo homer from Brendan Donovan. Jose Ramirez would answer with an RBI single to tie the game. Donovan would score the game-winning run in the tenth on a passed ball.

Jack Flaherty went 7 innings, giving up 1 run on 7 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 4. Ryan Helsley pitched 1 1/3 for the win, and Giovanny Gallegos closed it out for his sixth save.
