The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved a street closure request from the Higginsville Chamber of Commerce during its meeting on Monday, June 5.

The request is on 31st Street, between Cypress and Highway 13. City Administrator Jeanette Dobson said the board approved the request.

In other news, Dobson gave an update on the walking trail on the city lake.

There is still work to be completed for the Nature Trail Community Project.
