A burn advisory has been issued for Chariton County effective 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 26.

According to the Chariton County Commission, the advisory will remain in effect until further notice. Due to the current dry and windy conditions, outdoor burning of any type is highly discouraged.

This includes, but is not limited to, trash barrels, bonfires, campfires, and controlled burns.
