Michael Lorenzen tossed seven shutout innings as the Detroit Tigers beat the Kansas City Royals 3-0 on Thursday, July 20.

Lorenzen pitched a gem, only allowing three hits and walking one. Zack Greinke went four innings of two run ball in his return from the IL.

The Tigers scored two runs in the second and an additional run in the fifth.

The Kansas City offense only mustered four hits against Tigers pitching. The Royals fall to 28-70 on the season.
