
The Concordia Board of Aldermen passed an ordinance to set new water rates for the city.
According to City Administrator Dale Klussman, the new service availability charge will be $20.05. The flow rates will be $6.63 per gallon (1 to 5,000 gallons), $7.86 per gallon (5,001 to 100,000 gallons) and $6.74 per gallon for 100,001 gallons plus.
The board also passed a proposed bill creating a Water Conservation Plan.
In other news, the board set the date for a public hearing for the levying of the 2023 property tax rate. The hearing is set for the August 21 board meeting.
