Marshall School Superintendent Caleb Petet discussed the recent school surplus auctions during the Marshall Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, August 8.

Petet stated the auctions, which were held at the Butterfield Campus and Saline County Career Center raised a total of over $22,000 that will be used for capital projects in the district.

The board approved the second surplus auction at the meeting.

In other news, the board approved a bid for door safety hardware at Butterfield at a cost of $30,756. The funds will be provided by a safety and security grant received by the district.

The district also has announced and open house will be held at the Butterfield Campus on Thursday, August 17. The open house is open to the public from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., with 5 p.m. to 7 p.m reserved for parents or guardians and early childhood center students.
