The Odessa Board of Aldermen approved a pole attachment agreement with Socket Telecommunications, LLC. during its meeting on Monday, August 14.

City Administrator Shawna Davis stated Socket will be installing fiber optic lines in Odessa and had requested geographic information systems (GIS) data for pole locations in the city.

In other news, the board approved a police escort for the “Grab Life by the Handlebars Memorial Ride” and blocking off a section for parking for motorcycles along the east side of Second Street. The event will take place on Sunday, August 20.
