The Marshall City Council discussed funds for a sidewalk project at Miami and College Streets during its meeting on Tuesday, September 5.

The council discussed an application for assistance from the Missouri Alternative Program Grant for the project. The council discussed raising city matching funds from 20 to 25 percent for the grant. City Administrator J.D. Kehrman gave details on the planned project.

The project would also include crossing work at the intersection of College and Miami. Kehrman stated the city would be covering approximately $90,000 of the $369,000 project.

The council approved the resolution.
