The Sedalia City Council approved an ordinance accepting a bid for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping during its meeting on Tuesday, September 5.

The city partners with Pettis County for the mapping service. City Administrator Kelvin Shaw stated the city proposed contour mapping to be included in the six year GIS contract with Eagleview Aerial Photography at an extra cost.

In other news, the council approved support for a proposal for redevelopment of the Liberty and Tambo Apartments from Ventural Industries, LLC. Support from the city is required for Ventural to seek tax credits for the project on the senior and low income housing.
