Sandy Brockman Gordon, 51, of St. Ann, MO, formerly of Marshall, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to family choice, make checks payable to Mc’Kinzey Hockaday. Born August 14, 1972, in Sweet Springs, MO, she was the daughter of the late Charles Brockman and Judy Turner Brockman.  Sandy lived in Marshall in her younger years where she graduated from Marshall High School in 1990 and then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Missouri Valley College.  On October 13, 2012, she married Kendric Gordon who preceded her in death on May 6, 2016.  Sandy had a heart for people leading her into a career of being a crisis counselor and social worker.  She was currently working with ALIVE in St. Louis which is a not for profit organization helping adults and children escape domestic abuse environments.  While growing up in Marshall she attended Southside Assembly of God Church.

Sandy is survived by her two daughters, Kourtney Brockman and Mc’Kinzey Hockaday, both of Marshall; a grandchild on the way; six siblings: Shelly Hutchison of Concordia, Sherry Hemme (Mark) of Sedalia, Charlene Swires of Marshall, Ina Richardson of Marshall, Kayla Gibson (Jeremy) of Marshall and Gary Riefle of Waverly; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Judy Brockman; and her biological father, Bob Shoemaker.
