MODOT wants citizens to know that this afternoon a pier removal will be taking place on the old Missouri River Bridge, and for the
safety of citizens, the perimeter around the blast must be closed and secured.

The closures will occur during and immediately after the blast which is tentatively scheduled for 1pm-3pm, this afternoon.

Motorists and members of the public are advised to be alert, pay attention to signs,

and traffic control personnel, and plan ahead to expect delays.
