The Higginsville Board of Aldermen considered a resolution regarding the construction of the city’s Wastewater Treatment Plant during its meeting on Tuesday, January 2.

The board approved a resolution to award the construction of the plant to Martin General Contractors, LLC. This award is pending approval from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the CDBG. Once approved, the board can pass an ordinance to move forward with the project.

In other news, the board approved several appointments to the Building Code Board of Appeals. Jacob Dittmer and Justin Thurnau were both appointed by the Mayor and approved by the board.
