A man from Brunswick, found himself at the center of a North Missouri Drug Task Force investigation from September to December 2023.

The investigation unraveled two drug transactions: one involving approximately 14.6 grams of methamphetamine that he was selling for $150 on September 22nd, and another for 3.8 grams for $100 on September 28th, both confirmed as methamphetamine sales.

During a December 21st search at suspect  27-year-old Wyatt Short’s residence, officers discovered him with three small children amidst narcotics, firearms, and drug paraphernalia.

Short admitted to possessing drugs, paraphernalia, and firearms within the residence and confessed to trafficking methamphetamine from Independence, into nearby counties.

His criminal record, including charges such as Hindering Prosecution and Possession of Controlled Substances, emphasized the danger posed by his actions and the highly hazardous nature of methamphetamine.

As a result of the investigations, Short was arrested, facing seven felony charges related to drug trafficking, firearm possession near narcotics, and endangerment of children.

His bond was set at $150,000, cash only.
