The Develop Saline County Advisory Board met and discussed some upcoming projects in 2024.

The Welcome Center Project was brought up, and Commissioners Monte Fenner and Stephanie Gooden reported that the bid process with take place in April 2024. Fenner and Gooden said that the construction process should be complete by fall 2024 as well.

The sewer for the structure will also be complete by the fall. Gooden said that it took almost the entirety of 2023 to secure the necessary sewer easements for the project. Marshall Municipal Utilities is expected to manage the sewer system, however, nothing is confirmed yet.
