On February 11, the Marshall Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 252 Miami Ave S in Marshall.

Upon arrival, flames were observed emanating from the windows of the corners of the residence.

The fire department initiated firefighting operations by deploying a 150 ft pre-connect hose line to combat the blaze from the exterior while conducting a thorough 360-degree assessment of the structure.

The fire department then attempted entry through the front door but encountered furniture obstructing the path to the bedroom, necessitating a retreat and a switch to an exterior attack through the back corner windows.

Additional support was requested, leading to the arrival of Tower 1, which deployed a second 150 ft pre-connect hose line and conducted a search of the house before focusing on extinguishing fire in the attic area by pulling ceiling material.

Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to the occupants, and Liberty Utilities and 203 secured the gas and electric meters, respectively.
