The Salisbury Board of Aldermen took several actions during its meeting on February 8.

According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, the board approved an ordinance to authorize the Mayor to sign a memorandum of understanding on behalf of the city to allow the Green Hills Regional Planning Commission to supply a code enforcement officer. The motion passed with a unanimous vote.

The board also continued discussions regarding a section of the Salisbury Municipal Code that prohibits members of the Board of Public Works being prohibited to serve on other boards. After the discussion, the board asked its attorney to draft an ordinance to repeal this section of the code. The ordinance will be voted on next month.

Also, the board received several bids for the purchase of a new mower for the park. The board wants the city staff to weigh in on the bids before approving any of them. The bids range between $12,000 and $15,000 The bids will be voted on at a future meeting.
