Brenda L. Howerton, 65, of Ozark, MO, formerly of Marshall, died Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to Covenant Presbyterian Church and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born March 28, 1958, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Homer Cedric Cooper and Leola Fizer Cooper. In 1976 she graduated from Marshall High School.  On April 19, 1980, she married Brett E. Howerton who survives of the home.  She worked at Fitzgibbon Hospital for many years as a Certified Pharmacy Technician and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, Brett; she is survived by two children, Krystle Enyart (Andreas) of Marshall and Corey Howerton (Danielle) of Raymore; a granddaughter, Brinley; bonus son, Nathan Wilson (Rachel) and bonus grandchildren, Amelia, Patrick and Emily, all of Republic; two sisters, Marlene VanHorn (David) of Marshall and Kathy Pulliam (JL) of Saline City; one brother, R.W. Cooper (Paula) of Linn Creek; sister-in-law, Linda Cooper of Slater; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Larry Cooper.
