Boonville resident Matthew C. Shilling, 43, faces charges, including manslaughter, following a fatal crash on February 2nd.
Shilling, charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor for driving without a license, was arrested by a Howard County Sheriff’s deputy.
The crash resulted in the death of Christina Mayfield, 32, and serious injuries to another. Shilling has a history of driving offenses, including multiple convictions for driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Police noted his SUV was captured on video traveling at high speed prior to the crash. Given concerns of flight risk, a warrant for Shilling’s arrest without bond was issued.
