
The Slater City Council approved a motion to renew an agreement with the Saline County Emergency Management Agency during its meeting on Tuesday, March 26.
The city has been a part of the agency for several years now. This agreement was just to renew the contract. City administrator Gene Griffith explained why it is important for the city to be partnered with an emergency management agency.
The city is seeing a $128.38 cost increase in the agreement for the upcoming year. The council approved the agreement.
In other news, Steve McQueen Day was brought up in Mayor Terry Jordan’s report. McQueen day is scheduled for Saturday, June 15.
