
Kenneth T. “Kenny” White Jr., 67, of rural Higginsville, MO, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 30, 2024, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at First Assembly of God Church in Higginsville with Pastor Dan Mahurin officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Missouri Veterans’ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Born September 15, 1956, in Kansas City, MO, he was the son of the late Kenneth Theodore White Sr. and Nancy Ann Petillo White. On September 26, 1989, in Lexington, he married Deborah L. Fletcher who survives of the home. Kenny served in the United States Army and retired after 20 years of service. During his military career he spent nine years in Germany as well as serving in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. After retiring from the Army he, along with Debbie, went to school and both received their LPN degrees. Kenny worked as an LPN at The Living Center in Marshall, Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer and Life Care Center in Carrollton. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 4288 in Corder. Kenny was an active member of First Assembly of God in Higginsville where he served as a deacon, head of security and played guitar during worship. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, church services and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, Debbie; he is survived by three daughters: Michele Wuthnow (Quentin) of Higginsville, Beth Sapp (Bryce) of Lawson and Becka Wright (Austin) of Higginsville; eight grandsons; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and his faithful companion, Saber.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth White Sr. and Nancy White; one son, Micheal Fletcher and one granddaughter, Annabelle Swift.
