The Concordia Board of Aldermen received five bids for the city’s CDBG Side Walk Project and reviewed the bids during its meeting on Monday, April 1.

The bids were received on March 19. This project will deal with the sidewalks on the east side of Main Street, from 2nd Street to 4th Street. The board reviewed five total bids, with the low bid coming from Alpha Contacting and Construction in the amount of $94,500. The board approved the bid and awarded the contract to Alpha Contracting and Construction.

In other news, the board approved an ordinance appointed James Krahenbuhl as Sergeant for the Concordia Police Department. The city clerk also administered the Oath of office to Krahenbuhl as well.
