Highway maintenance and construction work is planned in several area counties for April 8-14.

In Cooper County:
-A bridge replacement project is scheduled to continue at the Brush Creek Bridge on Route HH. The road is closed to all traffic. Motorists need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
-Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge on I-70. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

In Howard County:
-Pavement repair work is scheduled on Route E from Missouri Route 87 to County Road 220 from April 8-18. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
-Pavement repair work is planned on Route Z from Route J to Route 87. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
-Pavement repair work is scheduled on Route AA from Route 87 to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
-Upgrades to pedestrian facilities are set to continue in the city of Mexico on Missouri Route 3 and Route V. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
