The Saline County Commission received five bids for the Welcome Center that will be constructed at the Marshall Junction.
Commissioner Stephanie Gooden reminded the public what these bids were for.
This bid opening was to approve the project plans and specifications for the project. This is a federally funded project, so the commission wants to review each bid carefully to make sure they are in compliance with the terms of the federally assisted award. A total of five bids were received, they include:
-A $2,101,132 bid from Vazquez Commercial Contracting LLC.
-A $2,117,300 bid from Professional Contractors and Engineers.
-A $2,029,970 bid from Reasbeck Construction Inc. (RCI).
-A $2,079,707 bid from Little Dixie Construction LLC.
-And a $2,256,606 bid from Rothwell Construction.
The commission voted to take these bids under advisement. Commissioners say they will reach a decision and announce it at a later time.
