The Kansas City Royals defeated the Detroit Tigers 8-3 and complete a three-game sweep.

Cole Ragans went six scoreless innings in the winning effort, striking out 12 batters while only allowing one hit on the day.

Bobby Witt Jr. stayed hot at the plate, recording two hits and driving two runs. Freddy Fermin had two hits and three RBI. Nelson Velazquez also hit a solo home run in the fourth inning.

Kansas City has won six straight games and improve to 32-19 on the season.
