The Moberly City Council approved a bid for its 2024 Street Improvement Project during its meeting on Monday, June 3.
City Manager Michael Bugalski said the council approved the bid from Christensen Construction for the work. The street improvement project includes milling and overlay on city streets.
The cost of milling is $3.50 per square yard, and the overlay is $104.75 per ton.
In other news, the council approved a resolution to authorize an agreement with WSKF Inc. for the next phase of a project to construct a new fire station. This agreement will allow the city to develop final plans for the building. Planning for this project began in November 2022.
