A project to repair the concrete on the Missouri Route 5 underpass west of Salisbury will get underway Tuesday morning, a day later than planned.

The Missouri Department of Transportation announced the updated timetable for the project, blaming supply issues for the delay. The department and contractors Capital Paving and Equipment now expect to complete these repairs by June 20th. The delay has also impacted the completion of repairs to the Route 5 underpass in Marceline. MoDOT says this underpass below the BNSF railway is slated to reopen Friday, June 14th.

Detours around both closures are signed.
