
Four change orders approved Monday by the Sedalia City Council came about after bids for several of the city’s storm water projects were lower than expected.
City Administrator Kelvin Shaw says the change orders total $508,777.
Shaw details two of the added improvements that the council approved.
That sidewalk will go along West 14th Street from Sneed to Park. Sedalia’s city council also approved the purchase of a larger pipe for the storm water improvements underway along South Beacon and eliminating a proposed storm water route underneath East Broadway at Center Avenue. The council also agreed to amending their contract with HDR Engineering for continued design work on the North and Central wastewater treatment plants totaling an additional $106,637, and a $21,300 project for Engineering Surveys and Services to redesign a proposed sewer line extension to WireCo’s facility.
