The Concordia Board of Aldermen is holding two special meetings in September.

City Administrator Dale Klussman said the board is holding the first special meeting at 5:45 p.m. Monday, September 23, to allow for public input concerning the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget. The board also plans to introduce an ordinance to adopt the budget during that meeting.

The next special meeting is scheduled for September 30, where the board will gather input from the owners of properties in the 300th Block of Concordia for potential drainage area improvements.

The board is also holding a public hearing prior to its October 7 meeting. The hearing is to allow comments from citizens concerning the proposed amendments to the city’s Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code. That hearing will begin at 5 p.m.

Klussman also said the board administered the Oath of Office to new police officer Trent Summers during its meeting on Tuesday, September 3.
