The Marshall High School Debate Squad competed at the Warrensburg Speech and Debate Tournament over the weekend, having several individuals place well in the competition.

Brianna Carrillo and Elizabeth Granillo took first in Public Forum Debate, while Liam Conner and Tyler Surface finished third in that category. Michelle Lin placed fourth in Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Carrillo also had second place finishes in Champ Poetry and Champ Prose. Maya Mackey was fourth in Radio and seventh in Oratory.

Other notable placements include Jasmine Davis taking fifth in Champ Prose and seventh in Dramatic, Caleb Wagner taking third in Humorous, Granillo placing seventh in Humorous, Lauren Riley at sixth in Prose, Bella Downs at sixth in Storytelling, and Ruby Jaramillo placing sixth in Oratory.
