Visitors to Sedalia in the near future may find it easier to figure out how to get around town.
The city council authorized a grant agreement last month between the Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Missouri Division of Tourism for a matching grant to fund the installation of wayfinding signs around Sedalia. Mayor Andrew Dawson says the signs will be a long overdue addition.
Dawson says he anticipates other entities in the city, including the school district and state fairgrounds, providing support to the project.
The grant from the state totals $30,000, with the Sedalia City Council authorizing a budget amendment to match the amount at their meeting Jan. 21. The council next meets Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.
