Jana Renee Smith, 45, of Malta Bend, MO, died Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, MO.

A Celebration of Life will at held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Pastor Ralph Varner officiating. There will be no visitation.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association-Wilms Disease. An online guestbook may be signed at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Jana was born on June 25, 1979, in Carrollton, MO. She was a 1997 graduate of Santa Fe High School. On October 6, 2002, in Waverly, MO, she married Nick Smith who survives of the home.  Her work career was at Fitzgibbon Hospital as a patient care advocate and helping others was her main job. She loved doing crafts and was an avid Chiefs fan. Her family was her pride and joy.

In addition to her husband Nick, Jana is survived by two sons, Jarron and Conner Smith, both of the home; her father, John Troester of Malta Bend, MO; one sister, Jennifer Jenkins of Bosworth, MO; one brother, Jeremy Troester of Warsaw, MO; and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.

Jana was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Carol Orear on January 30, 2018; an aunt, Telpha Hueman; one niece, Justine Troester; and one nephew, Dylan Giffen
