The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works voted to request statements of qualifications for professional engineering services during its meeting on Thursday, March 13.

The board has expressed interest in establishing an Engineer of Record for the water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Underground Facilities Director Grant Piper said this would set up a contact with an engineering firm to perform professional engineering services on current and future projects. The contract would set hourly rates for the engineering staff as well.

The board approved the motion and will review them at a future meeting.
