After 12 years in the mayor’s office, Steve Kacvinsky will hand his gavel to his successor at Thursday’s Salisbury Board of Aldermen meeting.
Kacvinsky tells KMMO News he enjoyed the opportunity to serve the citizens of Salisbury.
Kacvinsky opted to not run for re-election, resulting in an open seat contested by three candidates last week. Ronnie Stowers won election with 59 percent of the vote. Kacvinsky encourages Stowers and future mayors to consider all sides of an issue before taking action.
The Salisbury Board of Aldermen will gather for their transition meeting Thursday at 6 p.m.
