The City of Marshall has announced a town hall Thursday, June 12 for contractors and trades professionals to discuss and provide input on changes to the city’s building permitting process.
The forum comes within a month of the city council voting 6-2 to replace the city’s codes office with an outside firm, the Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS). City administrator JD Kehrman says the firm has been working with city staff to streamline the permitting process.
Kehrman explains what the city hopes to achieve with the forum.
The town hall will take place Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Marshall Municipal Court Building on Eastwood, across the street from the Marshall City Office Building.
