The Blackburn Board of Aldermen held a special meeting Tuesday night to review and approve a bid for work at the city’s lagoon.

The work includes dirt work and excavation for embankment changes, which was required after an audit from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources earlier this year.

After some discussion, the board approved a $4,500 bid from Steve Graver for the contract work at the lagoon.

Also during the meeting, Alderwoman Valerie Hall reported that the city received $25,000 from the Develop Saline County Advisory Board for asphalt milling and park improvements.
